Romeo Indigo Romeo - Spooky Scary, Spooky Scary Single Review

Romeo Indigo Romeo are a four piece metal-adjacent band from Belfast/Bangor, Co. Down. They are comprised of Aaron Reeve, Simon Harte, Adam Woods and Chris Millar. Having formed in 2016, they have been quietly making a name for themselves on the Northern Irish music scene. They have a support slot coming up with fellow metal outfit Victim Royal which will take place in McHugh's Bar, Belfast on February 22nd. They will also be performing in Heat 6 of the Battle of the Bands at Róisín's in Derry on March 9th. Before all of that though, they will be releasing their latest single "Spooky Scary, Spooky Scary" on Monday 18th February (Next Monday).

The track itself is moody, edgy and a little bit funkadelic. It begins with some raw guitar chords and is then joined by a bass which is rather melodic and funky. The metalness kicks in beautifully before sliding gently back to an Eaglesesque groove. Romeo Indigo Romeo have a way of blending genres which works even when you think it shouldn't. I'm almost certain I heard The Simpsons Theme tune in there as well.
